This year has been a rough year for movie viewers but that doesn't mean there haven't been great 

movies welcome to Denny movies we are counting down our best movies .com 2020 so far on

streaming platforms  films that debuted festivals in 2019 are still eligible as long as they made 

America or wide releases in 2020.

                            10.SONIC  THE HEDGEHOG

Sonic the hedgehog is a 2020 action movie-adventure comedy film based on the video game franchise

created my and published by SEGA in the movie sonic teams up with a local town sheriff Tom Wachowski to find his lost ring and escape Dr.Robotnik .this movie reception to the blue blurs original

design and the curse of video game this movie it's safe to say everyone's expectations were fairly low 

for sonic the Hedgehog and that's what made such a delightful surprise the family-friendly adventure

follows sonic as he goes on the run from the vile Dr.Robotnik  who wants to harness his power Ben    

Schwartz is the perfect voice for Sega's mascot cracking jokes almost as quickly as he moves but it's Jim Carrew's manic performances Robotnik that steals every scene example like this one ''oh i look like

a Nimbus huh of course i would a lo of pain i love the way you make them '' sonic's superspeed makes for some worthwhile action and his charisma makes for an entertaining hero.

       

                              9.BIRDS OF PREY (AND THE FANTABOLOUS EMANCIPATION OF ONE HARLEY QUINN)

While suicide Squad wasn't exactly well- received Margot Robbies as Harley Quinn was an undeniable 

standout so it was natural to see her return to the role it took losing something .Only this time DC didn't

restrict her with the pg-13 rating. Birds of prey sees Harley Quinn sucked into a war between an accentric  psychopathic crime war lord and the women trying to take her down the action sequences are

sleek and brutal the character dynamic often strained and hilarious here .McGegor as the slimy skin 

crawling black mask serves as the proof that he needs to be a villain more often but more important is 

how birds of prey reminded moviegoers  that Harley Quinn is a lot better off without the joker 

                       8.BLOODSHOT

Bloodshot is a decent attempt that scores on its ambitious sci-fiction imagination and a superhero ,

who is always ready for the action. Vin Diesel brings the right balance of contemplativeness and 

meatheadness to this action film.despite this film's PG-13 rating, families may well choose to draw 

a line with Vin diesel's latest bloody actioner.Directed by David S.F.Wilson this movie follows a dynamic line that after the death of a marine Ray Garrison with his wife is resurrected by a team of 

scientists.Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine -

Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former 

life. But when his memory flood back and he remembers the man who killed both him and his wife 

he breaks of the facility to get revenge, only to discover that there's more to the conspirancy than he

thought.

                             7. THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND

 Yeah talk a comedy dream team directed by Judd Apatow the king of staten island brings together Pete

Davidson ,Phil Burr ,Marisa Tomei and Steve buscemi with a screenplay by Apatow ,Davidson and

SNL writer Dave Cyrus however it's a comedy that also manages to be moving and serious the movie 

follows a young man struggles after the death of his father a firefighter who died while responding to 

an emergency .Given that Davidson lost his father in similar circumstances the story is a borderline memoir with poignant autobiographical touches while the tonal shifts aren't always the film is buoyed 

by a standout performance from Davidson making it a must-see 

                         6.LOVEBIRDS

Lovebirds is actually a movie that everybody must not pass on without watching ,this movie screenplay

contain many known names in the cinema of comedy Issa Rae is a known figure in this world of comedy ,Kumali Nanjiani,Paul Sparks, Anna Camp .This are known names you must find in this movie  . This movie follows a line that a couple experiences a defining moment in their relationship 

embroiled in a murder mystery .As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme and 

hilarious moments to figure out how they, and their relationship ,can survive the night.

                                      5.EXTRACTION

Powered by the charisma and physicality of its star, this often gruelling action flick does more  than enough to suggest that Hemsworth has found his genre ,once he hangs up a certain hammer . this movie was directed by Sam Hargrave and was budgeted 65 million USD following a line were a black-market 

mercenary who has nothing to lose is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international

crime lord .But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers ,an already deadly 

mission approaches the impossible.This movie was released on April24,2020.And its producers are 

Chris Hemsworth, Mike Larroca,Anthony Russo.

                          4.ARTEMIS FOWL

If there's one thing you don't want to do to Artemis Fowl, it's underestimate him .Yeah, he's snarky and arrogant, and when he says he's criminal mastermind, he's not kidding. But he's also a good person .

He and HOLLY break a lot of rules to save his dad, but also manage to save the world. At one point he Is holding the Aculos in his hands with nobody to stop him from handling it over to Opal.Instead he gives it to Holly and trusts her to find a way to save his dad without putting the world whole world at risk.Eoin Colfer, the author of the Artemis Fowl book series, described the novel as ''Die Hard with fairies'' however Disney has dialed back that violence.It was directed by Kenneth Branagh with a fully funded budget of 125 million USD released on June 12,2020.

                        3.KISSING BOOTH 2

As Elle's boyfriend Noah takes off to study at Harvard, she tries not to be the clingy girlfriend in their 

long distance relationship. But will the decision of hers have its own share of consequences?

''kissing booth 2''takes off from where the first film left off. Elle and Noah are a couple who have their 

dose of fun and the summer sun in California, Before he heads off to harvard. Once high school resumes, Elle decidedly stays busy in her senior year, so she doesn't come across as the clingy one in their long distance relationship. Even if that means ignoring a few of Noah's messages and calls. And 

hogging most of her best friend lee's time, so much that his girlfriend, Rachel is now positively  irritated

with Elle. Which puts lee in a rather awkward position.this movie was directed by Vince Marcello based on the kissing booth books by Beth Reekles .Initial relese:July 24,2020

                       2.OLD GUARD

 ''  The Old Guard''could just as well have been called ''the New Blood''since that's what it tries to pump

into the weary superhero genre with reasonable degree of success and quite a lot of ,well,blood.

The fighters- led by Andy (Charlize Theron)-don't have fancy of costumes or alter egos,and they all share the same superpower, which is not dying.Or not staying dead when this minions hit them with automatic-rifle barrages, Andy and her colleagues fall down and bleed, but then they quickly jump up and wounds quickly fading ,to finish off their surprised attackers.Andy is the boss because she's been 

doing it since antiquity,when she went by Andromache.The others include Joe and Nicky lovers who met on opposite side of Crusades,and Booker who joined up during the Napoleonic wars.Much of ''The Old Guard'' which gently clears a path for possible sequels, has to do the newest member of the team ,a 

young United States Marine named Nile Freeman

Netflix's enjoyable''project power'' starring Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, is a comic book -

like film with heightened action sequences that have an illustrated quality to them.Which is not inspired by any graphic novel,joins the club with a plot about superpowers that come from taking an illegal pill.
